IN 2004, HE STARTED WRITING POETIC CAPTIONS FOR HIS PHOTOGRAPHS AND NOW DOES THIS ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY. HE THEN BEGAN MAKING NOTE CARDS WITH PHOTOS ON THE COVER AND THE CORRESPONDING POEM ON THE BACK. THESE HE PRESENTS AT POETRY CRITIQUE WORKSHOPS IN NEW JERSEY AND FLORIDA.

HE’S ALSO PARTICIPATED IN GROUP SHOWS AT THE BARRON ARTS CENTER IN WOODBRIDGE, EDISON MUNICIPAL COMPLEX THROUGH THE EDISON ARTS SOCIETY, AND THE ARTISTS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY IN FLORIDA. IN ADDITION TO HIS PUBLISHED POEMS IN THE ANNUAL ANTHOLOGY OF THE POETS OF THE PALM BEACHES, HIS PHOTOS HAVE ILLUSTRATED ONE OF THEIR ANTHOLOGIES.
HE’S ENTERED ANNUAL CONTESTS SPONSORED BY THE NJ DEPARTMENT ON AGING. WINNERS IN EACH OF 17 COUNTIES ARE THEN SENT TO THE STATE COMPETITION. HE HAS RECEIVED AWARDS AT BOTH LEVELS, CAPPED BY A FIRST PLACE IN THE 2012 STATE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CATEGORY.
Linda Levine is a Brooklyn native, Edison transplant and Florid snowbird. To ease the transition from a rewarding elementary/middle school teaching career to the leisure that retirement brings, she began writing and sharing her
poetry during workshops and open readings. An active member of the Raritan Poets in New Jersey and The Poets of the Palm Beaches in Florida, she hosts monthly poetry readings and book discussions in her southern community. Her award winning work has appeared in the Edison Literary Review, Terra Nova Publications, annual anthologies of the Poets of the Palm Beaches and in the current volume of Jewish Women Write. When her muse is on holiday, she observes nature through the lens of her digital camera, and translates its beauty into micro abstract images.
