PoetsWednesday Workshop

The PoetsWednesday Workshop is open to all.

There is no charge, but we do ask a donation of $2.00 at the reading.

The workshop is held at the Barron Arts Center on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

It begins at 7PM and runs for about 50 minutes.

The reading starts at 8PM.

Please feel free to stop by. 

You don't need to bring poems. We usually work with prompts.

 

See the monthly posts to find out who will facilitate and other information.

Due to the Holiday celebration, the December workshop will be canceled.

We will resume in January.

The reading will proceed as usual.

Fall Foliage Plein Air Painting Workshop Retreat, 9/26-29, 2011, Plymouth, VT

FALL FOLIAGE PLEIN AIR PAINTING -

WORKSHOP RETREAT

at Good Commons in Plymouth,Vermont

September 26-29th, 2011 

En plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air”, specifically in regards to painting out of doors. Just as Monet, Cezanne, and VanGogh made Nature their studio, you are invited to paint with professional artist/instructor Lizzi Shippert in the awe-inspiring autumn beauty of south-central Vermont.

In this workshop, Lizzi will guide you in understanding & depicting the elements of landscape – perspective, light and color in the drawing or painting media of your choice. Lizzi believes that the making of art should be joyful. Workshop activities are paced to relax the novice and refresh the experienced painter. All experience levels and all drawing or painting media are welcome. (A materials list will be provided upon registration.)
